Summer Assignments

Students should visit our Summer Assignment page to find all the due dates and details for English, Social Studies, and Math summer assignments.

Online Student Registration

  • All NEW STUDENTS and RETURNING AHS FAMILIES are asked to complete online registration for the 2016-17 school year through the Parent Cloud. Please follow the directions in the following link:
  • NEW STUDENTS will need to provide the follwoing documentation to the AHS office: 
      • Child’s Birth Certificate
      • Child’s Social Security Card (optional)
      • Child’s immunization records (Immunization Information from AISD)
      • Child’s withdrawal form/last report card (if applicable)
      • Parent’s Photo ID
      • Proof of guardianship (if applicable)
      • Proof of residency

First Day of School

Where to Report the 1st Day of School

9th grade students: report to PAC on east side of campus. Parent drop off on east side is allowed the first day of school only. Breakfast will be provided to all 9th grade students.
10th and 11th grade students: Entry into the building is allowed at 8:50 a.m. unless a student requests access to breakfast.
12th grade students: Festivities will begin in the senior parking lot starting at 8:00 a.m.

First Day of School Bell Schedule

9:00 am - 10:10 am     Alpha Homeroom by grade level

  • 9th grade: students report to PAC
  • 10th – 12th grade: students report to alpha classroom (find last name on grade level lists posted in common areas throughout the building).
    • Students will receive schedule
    • Seniors will receive student ID
    • Students with off periods who remain on campus will receive a badge.
10:15 am - 11:35  am
11:40 am – 1:00 pm
2nd Period
1:00 pm – 1:40 pm
1:45 pm – 3:05 pm
3rd Period
3:10 pm – 4:30 pm
4th Period

First Day New Student Registration Process

8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.     New student registration in LIBRARY

  1. Families must check in at east/west entrance kiosk, obtain visitor badge, and report to the library
  2. Check in at table with Lyn R and Liz N, complete documents, pick up registration packet and obtain a number to see a counselor
  3. After all paperwork has been submitted, families waiting to see a counselor will complete the AISD Parent Cloud process with assistance from Eric Dao and Diana Clawson.
  4. Students will be enrolled by Annette and proceed to counselor when number is called.

Any parents/students waiting for long periods of time to see a counselor may make an appointment for the following day.
