While most of our counselors at Austin High can aid you academically they are all trained mental health professionals, and descriptions of their expertise as well as their names are given below. - Safe Place - A young women’s/men’s group explores topics like "Relationship Safety" and "Dating Violence"
- Grief Group - Takes place in the Spring
- Peer To Peer - Explores topics like "Healthy Relationships" and " Dating and Sexuality/Sexual Health"

- National Suicide Prevention Hotline: 1-800-273-8255 - Free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention, and crisis resources
- Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) National Helpline: 1-800-662-HELP (4357) - Helps locate local treatment facilities, support groups, and community-based organizations
- Nami Helpline: 1-800-950-NAMI (6264) - For questions about your mental health, symptoms, treatment options, local resources, Education programs, Helping family members get treatment, Programs to help find jobs
- National Domestic Violence Hotline: 800-799-SAFE (7233) - 24/7 Domestic violence/abuse hotline for those in that situation to receive help
- The Trevor Project Hotline: 1-866-488-7386 - Crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ people under the age of 25
- National Sexual Assault Hotline: 800-656-HOPE (4673) - ”When you call 800.656.HOPE (4673), you’ll be routed to a local RAINN affiliate organization based on the first six digits of your phone number.
