New Art Studios
The existing art rooms on the west side of campus are getting a make-over. Starting in the fall of 2026 we will have three fully renovated art studios for our students and teachers to enjoy!
Inconveniences
Art classes will relocate to the portables from Jan. 2026 - May 2026.

New Music / Theatre Arts Building
Austin High’s east side will look very different in the Spring of ‘27. A new fine arts building will stand in the place of the old breezeway. New theatre, orchestra, and band spaces will serve our students for decades to come!
Inconveniences
Construction fencing on the east side will lead to longer walking commutes for east side parkers (staff and students). Due to losing the east side Circle Drive from January 2026 - March 2027, SPED buses will drop-off and pick-up on the west side. Gen Ed buses will use the small staff loop (east side) to turn around. Temporary parking for some staff will be built on west side of campus.

New Secure Main Entrance
Austin High’s west entrance will receive a makeover the summer of 2026. Not only will the new west entrance look better, it will be safer! Safety and efficiency are at the core of our new main entrance.
Inconveniences
Various summer activities will look different, but large parts of the building will remain operational throughout the summer. More information will be sent out by programs that will be directly affected as summer of 2026 approaches.
