ACL
Last week, we shared that the ACL preparation started and it would be that there would be significant delays and some closures on Stratford Drive and Barton Springs Road due to the ACL Music Festival in Zilker Park. We know this is a significant inconvenience to families and students that use this area south of Ladybird Lake for school drop off and pick up. Please see the information below that outlines expected delays and closures over the next four weeks. There is also an interactive park access and road closure map that you can access for additional information. Remember that Austin High will have an early release at 3:30pm and a student Holiday on Friday, October 7th.
AISD Austin High Traffic Alert The calendar below is provided as courtesy so plans can be made to avoid delays, congestion and closures during the fall festival season specific to Stratford Drive and the area on the south side of Lady Bird Lake under Mopac. All motorists are encouraged to plan alternative routes in advance. Closures are indicated in red, and items in orange are noted so motorists can expect significant delays. Additional no parking signs will be posted in some areas, and those with specific park purposes near facilities like the Nature Center will be posted for use only by that facility. There are ADDITIONAL lane closures on Barton Springs Road on select days in addition to higher than normal activity in and around the park.
