Advanced Placement Exam Registration Information

AP EXAM REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW THRU NOVEMBER 1, 2023 AT 11:59 P.M.

Exams will not be ordered unless both STEP 1 and STEP 2 are completed.

Late Registration Dates (Late Fee Applies)

  • Fall Semester & Year Long: November 27, 2023 - March 1, 2024
  • Spring Semester: January 16 - March 1, 2024 

Fees

  • $98.00 per exam
  • Free/Reduced lunch: $21.00 per exam
  • Late Exam Registration Fee: $40.00 per exam
  • STEP 1: Join AP Classroom (September 29 deadline)

    All AP students MUST join AP Classroom (https://myap.collegeboard.org/login) using your College Board (CB) account. AP teachers will provide a unique class code to use when registering for their classes on the site. You must join each AP Classroom for each AP course you are enrolled in, even if you do not plan to take the AP exam in that course. 

    Tip: Do not use your school email, use a personal email that you check regularly.

    If you have trouble joining AP Classroom, gaining access to your CB account, or have been unsuccessful in creating an account, call the CB Student Help Line at 888-225-5427.

     

    STEP 2: Completing Registration & Paying for AP exams (November 1 Deadline):

    Go to TotalRegistration.net/AP/440320 to create/log in to your TR account and complete the payment process. Remember, only a minimum payment of $40 is due by November 1st to secure your exam order; the remaining balance is due by March 1, 2024. 

    *Please note: TR is not affiliated with the College Board and requires you to create or log in to a separate account to complete payment(s).

     

    Applying for Testing Accommodations: Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD)

  • College Board accommodations require a separate application process from a 504 plan or Special Education IEP. Please work with our SSD and 504 coordinators to ensure that you apply for accommodations before the January 18, 2024 deadline.
  • Contact the SSD coordinator, Counselor Sylvia Chavez, for assistance.

 

AP exams can be a financial burden on families, and we would like all our students to have the opportunity to participate. If financial concerns are preventing your student from registering for AP exams, please contact Tanya Mast our Academic Director at tanya.mast@austinisd.org
